Day 2 (July 12th) Visit of “La Cité de l’Espace” and Banquet

“La Cité de l’Espace” (The Space City) is a unique place, sharing news and updates on space and astronomy, and meeting the expectations of all ages visitors.

New temporary “Astronauts” exhibition is an opportunity to sample the extraordinary day-to-day lives of the astronauts at the International Space Station (ISS), a spacecraft that orbits Earth every 90 minutes at 400 km, and home to six astronauts. Discover their every daily tasks, reinvented and relearned in zero-gravity conditions.

Day 3 (July 13th) Visit 1 of a surface treatments plant

Galvanoplastie Industrielle Toulousaine (GIT SAS) performs, since 1981, surface treatments and painting applications, mainly for the aeronautic field.
During the visit, discover the new industrial hall, dedicated to the Micro Arcs Oxidation process (CERATRONIC®), developed and patented by GIT since 2001, and take also a look live to the micro-arcs, through the transparent demonstrator.
Visit also the new automatic lines for aluminum parts treatments, using either chemical conversion or anodization, such as:
   Sulfuric Acid Anodizing (SAA)
   Thin Film Sulfuric Acid Anodizing (TFSAA)
   Tartaric Sulfuric Acid Anodizing (TSA)
   Tartaric Sulfuric Acid Anodizing Long Cycle (TSA LC)
All these processes, resulting from Research & Development activity, are green, i.e. Chromium VI free, allowing GIT to offer to its customers, efficient and REACh compliant surface treatments.
Note that taking pictures won’t be allowed during this industrial visit.

Day 3 (July 13th) Visit 2: “Aeroscopia Museum”

Begin your visit by exploring the great 58-metre-long fresco, which looks back over the fascinating saga of aviation from Clément Ader to the present day. Then, board the iconic Concorde, see the depths of the Airbus A300B through its glass floor, and discover 25 other legendary planes, including the giant Super Guppy.

Day 3 (July 13th) Visit 3: “Airbus A380 assembly line tour”

During the A380 assembly line tour, especially discover the test flights and enjoy the fabulous view from the panoramic area, overlooking the Airbus A380 assembly line.
Please, note that the Airbus tour requires personal authorizations. As a consequence, people interested in this visit have to register as soon as possible, to give us enough time to ask for the authorizations.
