Once at the airport, Toulouse city center and the University campus are both accessible by taxi, as well as by efficient and cheap public transportation TISSEO_map

Access to Toulouse city center:

From the airport, take tram line T2 (light blue line on the map) until the terminus called “Palais de Justice”. From there, take the metro line B in direction of “Borderouge”.
A few different stations are considered to be part of the city center (Francois Verdier, Jean Jaures, Jeanne d’Arc). The station called “Jean Jaures” is the most central and allows changing to metro line A if necessary. Plan a 45 minutes journey.

The first two days (July 11^th and 12^th) of the conference will be held on the scientific campus of the University Toulouse III Paul Sabatier (UT3) – Paul Sabatier, while the third day (July 13^th) will be dedicated to visits.

 -     From Toulouse Blagnac airport :
From the airport, take tram line T2 (light blue line on the map) until the terminus called “Palais de Justice”. From there, take the metro line B (yellow line on the map) in direction of “Ramonville” and get off at the station called “Université Paul Sabatier”. Plan a 45 minutes journey.

 -     From Toulouse city center
From downtown Toulouse, take the metro line B in any of the city center station in direction of “Ramonville” and get off at the “Université Paul Sabatier” station. Plan a 17 minutes journey.

The conference itself will be held in the Concorde Amphitheater in building U4 of the University campus, as shown on the below map.

Toulouse, a city with an exceptional heritage, has some wonderful surprises for you. On a map, you will find Toulouse located in the southwestern part of France. It lies on the banks of the Garonne river and is crossed by two man-made canals. While it boasts over 2,000 years of history, modern-day Toulouse is France's fourth largest city.

Toulouse is known as the "Pink City" due to the rose-colored bricks used in the construction of most of the city's buildings. It is also a cultural hub for ballet, classical music and opera, the performances of which are often held in the Theatre du Capitole. Its inhabitents are convinced rugby fans, supporting their home team, Stade Toulousain.

However, by far the most interesting fact about Toulouse is that it leads the aerospace industry in all of Europe. It is home to both the SPOT satellite and the CNES's Toulouse Space Center (CNES, or Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales, being the space agency of the French government). Last but not least, the main site of Airbus in Europe is also located in Toulouse.
